Club History

The Jacksonville Corvette Club (JCC) was established in 1975 as a social club made up of Corvette Owners who share in the fun and excitement of driving and owning a Corvette. Currently membership exceeds 170 members. The purpose of the club is to bring together people interested in Corvettes, to provide fellowship among Corvette owners, to promote civic and charitable activities, and to sponsor events among owners of Corvettes.

The Jacksonville Corvette Club strives to be a well-rounded club that will meet the needs of all Corvette owners who are looking for an organization to share in the camaraderie and fun of owning a Corvette. Club activities are varied and include, but not limited to, car shows (some as small as 10 cars and other as large as 200), road rallies, day trips, weekend/week-long trips such as our famous Spring and Fall road trips, parades, progressive dinners and garage parties (nothing is more fun than to caravan around town with 20 to 30 Corvettes), and often a moonlight cruise to a secret destination for dessert.

The Jacksonville Corvette Club's favorite charity is the Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville. The JCC raised over $17,000.00 in less than six months to sponsor one of the sitting rooms and furnish it in the new house. The new Ronald McDonald House opened in 2001. Each year for Mothers Day, the JCC provides gifts for the mothers of families who are staying in the home. At Christmas, we provide stockings filled by club members to those children in the Ronald McDonald House or neighboring hospitals to help brighten their holiday. In addition, the JCC has supported the Boys Home Association of Jacksonville, Daniel, Inc., and The J.P. Hall Underprivileged Children's Christmas Party. Corvette events and our annual charity auction fund our charity and club activities. The JCC is a very active member of the First Coast Car Council, made up of over 44 local car clubs, and is very active in the annual fall Ronald McDonald House Car Show currently held at the Avenues Mall.

The JCC has not forgotten its civic responsibilities. Our club adopted a two-mile section of HWY 17 in front of the Roosevelt Square. We meet once a quarter to pick up trash along the highway. You may have seen "Jacksonville Corvette Club" on the Adopt-a-Highway sign.

The Jacksonville Corvette Club is a regular icon in the annual Veterans Day and Gator Bowl Parades of Jacksonville. The JCC has been known to caravan up to 25 Corvettes as far as 200 miles to drive in a parade. Just ask one of our members about the Rose Parade in Thomasville, GA or the Pine Tree Festival in Swainsboro, GA.

On January 8, 2008, the Jacksonville Corvette Club celebrated its' 33rd Anniversary. All past presidents, still active in the club, have been awarded a solid gold lapel pin with the Jacksonville Corvette Club logo imprinted on them. It has become a tradition to award the gold lapel pin or pendant to the incoming president.

JCC Officer Elections are held in November at the Annual Meeting, and officers assume their new roles on January 1st.
